Situated in the heart of Letterkenny on the WILD ATLANTIC WAY since its establishment in 1999, this family operated restaurant offers an intimate, relaxed ambience where customers can experience classically inspired dishes. The passion to source local and sustainable produce can be enjoyed from fork to glass, from the local garden herbs and vegetables to the selection of donegal brewed beers. The open kitchen allows customers to observe the culinary pursuits of brothers, Thomas, Gary and Euro-toques chef, Christopher Molloy.
The philosophy at The Lemon TREE is simple; contemporary Irish cooking using ingredients from Ireland or when possible Donegal. We believe its important to give our customers a unique taste of Donegal. Our extensive wine list complements the menu perfecty. All meats are Irish sourced, fresh fish is a special feature and - unusually these days - everything is made freshly on site, including all breads, pastries, pastas and desserts.
An early evening menu offers good value and includes a wide selection of seafood, poultry and meats.
We have relocated
After 18 wonderful years at 39 Lower Main Street we are excited to announce that we are relocating to unit 32 at the courtyard shopping centre. While we have some really special memories of our old location, we feel that the time is right to expand and enhance the Lemon Tree and further the experience to our loyal customers. We cannot wait to welcome you all to our new location. Thank you for your years of loyal custom. We hope you will join us in our new home.
